boxes! :)

end of holidays...

holidays coming to an end.
I can feel it totally when i went back to work today.
though its not officially starting yet, the amount of work is like "oh gosh!"
I can imagine how busy next year is going to be already.
next year is going to be really a whole new change -
with new workload & expectations.
dunno if its really what i want or what God wants me to do
guess will just have to trust Him that He is in control.

will upload some of the pics of the pressies i made.

Krabi 2007

Krabi was a really beautiful place for relaxation & water sports.
we did kayaking at mangrove and caves,
speed boat to phi phi for snorkeling,
board games galore,
and also makan lots of good food.
Has a great time with my cell group :)

but a bit too much to pay 200B for.

we took a speed boat to Phi Phi Island and the islands are so pretty.

the fishes that we saw at Phi Phi... they really love to eat bread.

Phi Phi Don - stopover for our lunch

another one of those islands we saw at Phi Phi

we went hot spring at Thailand too... :)

trying to squeeze through the massive crowd.
we are there for 7 hours and my legs nearly give way.
guess old liao, cant shop that much. :(

Siam square - the happening shopping place. its reallie pretty.
wish Singapore has such pretty shopping alleys
which plays music on their streets.

on our last night, we had dinner at MK Trendi Restaurant.
it serves steamboat at affordable prices.
It is very nice and tastes great!

the new airport. its reallie nice and all the big brands are there.

Water baptism

it's reallie a day of celebration as we celebrate ll's water baptism. :)
guess being *young at heart*, we had great fun laughing at all the silly baptism jokes.
with ll's hubby playing with a towel like we are at some hot spring.
but it's an enjoyable time indeed.
most importantly witnessing a important event of ll's life.

group photo after the baptism

3 cool gals - one is reallie cold :)

An accomplishment or a dreaded inevitability?

Finally finished the book - Can you keep a secret? by Sophie Kinsella.
I've started reading my next book - P.S, I Love You by Cecelia Ahern.
I found this portion really interesting or rather timely...
It talks a little about ageing.
Getting old should be an achievement and a challenge to us.
Though ageing is something we wanted so much to avoid.

I begin to understand that very much after a series of events that happened.
How often when we celebrate birthdays and
we dread it so much to remember how old we become.
That perhaps it has become a dreaded inevitability?
Yet when I see how fragile life is...
I truly think that to live to a ripe old age is a blessing indeed.
Perhaps we are so overcome by ageing that
we forgot that God is extending His blessings with each new year.
Indeed, my blessings in Christ is countless.

Transient life

life is transient.
if life is taken away due to sickness, i understand.
if life is taken away due to crime, i understand.
but what if life is taken away with no exact reason...
i doubt i can ever fully understand.
how often we live our lives carelessly
perhaps its a timely reminder
to treasure what we have
to live as if it's the last
to hang on to what we believe in
cos tomorrow might never come...

November 22, 2007

home sweet home

spent a full day at home today.
it's really nice just being at home
especially for working people
who hardly can have that special privilege.
i did a whole lot of stuff at a relaxing pace.
i managed to catch a short nap,
sun my wardrobe, surf the web for designs inpsiration,
make two boxes and a frame,
finished up my 3 page writeup.
later will do some planning and reading.
I enjoyed my time spent at home.
its really relaxing... :)

November 21, 2007

met up with a particular group of my secondary friends.
they r the ones whom i spent most of my school time with 13 years ago.
think we all look and remain much the same as before,
except for some hair style changes. :)
i see how time flies past & thirteen years went pass just like that.
think it is so important to treasure the pp ard us
before this life is taken away from us.
i read in a blog recently that
*life is more important than work*
had a good time catching up with each other.

encouragement

Keep your lives free from the love of money
and be content with what you have,
because God has said,
"Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you."
So we say with confidence,
"The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?"
Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you.
Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Hebrews 13:5-8

November 16, 2007

think I have this big *weakness* for pattern paper.
Every time i see new designs, i simply can't resist getting some of them.
This is one of my favorite brands - Scenic Route.
I really love the colours and the simplicity of the patterns.
I am using them for some of my christmas projects. :)

so lovely! wish there are bags made of these patterns.

gnomes

i love these little gnomes. saw this pic as I was surfing online.
they really brightened up my day.

November 15, 2007

Went back to clear up my workplace today.
Though spent 5 hours and threw away one huge trash bag of papers,
I am still not done yet.
guess I will need to make more regular clearance
of my pile of papers next year.
made a trip to mwl & diaso today... big damage again :(
but I am quite looking forward to making more stuff tonight :)

I put up my white board at my desk.
though holidays are here, my work never seem to end.
*xianz*
I love reading this blog.
