...

But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. Jeremiah 17:7 NLT

You don’t have to worry or be burdened by the things of this world.

Give God your troubles and worries with confidence.

He will give you His peace and freedom.

Feeling ...

*mixed feelings*

Went through a really long day today.

Packed with meetings, presentations, discussions, negotiations...

feeling drained and tired mentally.

Sometimes I wonder why should we put ourselves through this?

Only to discover that it comes to naught...

Trusting in Him

Those who trust their own insight are foolish,

but anyone who walks in wisdom is safe.

Proverbs 28:26 NLT

A Deeper Look:
We always think that we know best, but God tells us that if we trust in ourselves and rely on our ability, we will fail. Trust in God, He will never fail you or let you down.

Starting again...

Went back to school today... the journey to school was difficult.
Every step is heavy as it carries the worries and fears of the many tomorrows to come. Sometimes, the stress is so high that I wish time will just stop.
Wish I can just be free from all the work that is catching up on me.
Wish the wind will carry it all away...

You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it. Matthew 21:22 NLT

Lord, I pray for strength to face each new day.
I pray for wisdom to handle every task.
I pray for favour with everyone I meet.
I pray for grace to go through each day.
I pray for love.
Perfect love casts out fear.
Amen.

China 6/6 - 15/6

Came back to reality after an escapade to China for 9 days. Feeling tired and aching all over from the overnight flight. It was a nice trip seeing how China has indeed changed into a modern city. Before I left, I heard horrendous stories of how terrible the living and toilet conditions are. But I think many are mistaken. Of course, there will be some places that are still not in good condition but overall, I think China is really clean, considering the amount of people that is contained inside. You hardly see any garbage at any public area. Spitting is common but still not as bad as I thought. Toilets are quite alright except that they do not have a habit of disposing their sanitary pads properly. *gross* In fact, I think that their toilets are in better conditions than some of our neighboring countries! Service at major shopping areas and tourist attractions are good... of course they still have a habit of talking really really loud depending on which provinces they come from. But when it comes to bargaining, you must really be fierce and louder than them! *haha* My mum is probably the #1 banned customer of their country. We really bargained till the salesgirls went mad... haha, but that's the way to go for all the cheap deals we got. Just by looking at my shopping list, you will realize that I bought tons of stuff (ask me if you want to know)... the skits are so nice and chic there ( I got 6 skirts @ $10 each!). In fact, i think Beijing is a much better place for shopping than shanghai. But if you have the vitamin M, Shanghai clothes esp dresses are really very pretty!
Spent 3 nights in Shanghai, 1 day in Hangzhou and transit to Beijing for 3 another nights. My favourite place is Hangzhou... its reallie a very nice place to retreat. The air so fresh (comparable to Hokkaido!) and its has lots of Longing tea plantations. The people there are so relaxed and just sit around to have tea in their many tea houses. Really like Hangzhou for the cool weather and slow pace of life. A pity my camera died when I was there so I dun have any photos. :(
The only minus point that draws me from returning to China is the food. Think Singapore food is SO much tastier. *hee* Thank God for the safe and fruitful trip. Will upload the photos soon.

A visit to the dentist

Went to the dentist today... finally, found time to make it there. Think my teeth is in bad shape especially my gums. As I sat there going through the traumatic experience of having my mouth being pulled to all kind of shapes, I wonder why should I pay to go through such pain. Yet i know how important to take care of my teeth now else I will suffer in later years. Left the place with an anti-plaque toothpaste & tiny brushes for cleaning the micro-holes between the teeth and ninety-six dollars less... an expensive price for better teeth & healthier gums ahead.

Work

Holidays have come yet I am still working away non-stop. Been working on this huge project I been assigned for months. Felt kinda lost at times when faced with the many decisions I have to make each day. Should we have this? Should we do that? Is it good? Is it what it should be? Am I doing it right? Questions like these just kept swimming at the back of my little head.
Sometimes, not knowing what to do is truly a dilemma. *Argh... God, please rescue me*

Let's go to China and leave all this behind... praying that it will go away someday.

PC Show 2007

Today, the headlines read "The Great Gizmo Sale"... it has to be the PC show.
With the same mentality as any other Singaporean to beat the GST hike, I made the effort to push through the crowd to get my camera. It was really really crowded yet no one seemed bothered by it. The floors are littered with the many brochures and pamphlets that consumers are stuffed with. Reallie a big mess. I managed to squeeze my way through to the Cannon counter. Think unless you already know what you want, it is difficult to get a salesman to serve you properly. Anyway, with some advice from my friend S, me & J each got ourselves a Cannon Ixus 850IS. It comes with 7.1 MegaPixel, 3.8xZoom, 2.5 inch LCD, Optical Image Stabilizer, Wide Angle Lens (all these terms are greek to me) plus not forgetting a whole lot of freebies (how can we miss that?) - 2GB SD Card (according to S, this card ll last me a lifetime), Digital Kit Bag (utterly not useful), Camera Case (looks sleek and nice) and attractive gifts (er... lucky draw coupons??). It amounts to a neat sum of $649. Thank God that I am only paying $249 for it... under the good will of the development fund which educators enjoy else I will never pay such money for this gadget. This complex item really is tough to handle...learning to use all the functions so that I can maximize it on my China trip. =)
