How fast time flies! It has been a week of school and I really mean in school as a full-time student It was truly refreshing for me as I attended lectures, making new classmates, going to the library, literally reliving being a student once more. Can you imagine I revisit the National Library again and the last time I was there was in 2003?! And now I have like 3 books to digest, 1000 words journals to be submitted and blackboard to go into to do my reflections. Putting all the assignments and tiring traveling aside, I truly enjoyed the lectures. My lecturer has been wonderful in rekindling that passion once again. The infectious laughter and touching stories in every lecture session really make me eager to go back for more. Really thankful for this 17 weeks set aside just to recharge and refresh. Hopefully this flame will keep burning. :)

a fresh start

Attended my first workshop for 2011. felt refreshed using my hands and heart to scrap again though my fingers got all stuck and dirtied with glue and ink. that's my first piece of altered art on canvas. It's the largest piece I worked on so far. think it will look lovely in our new home. :) immediately i signed up for two more workshops (broke!) and will start doing up more scrap stuff.

really thankful for this short break that I have. hopefully the "studying" part is not so stressful though the travelling will really be quite tiring.

2011

2011 brings new beginnings for many areas of my life. I thought it will be a great reminder to my self as I blog about what i hope I can do in this new year ahead. Firstly, 2011 is where I will be able to establish a home of mine. That was truly something both of us been much looking forward too. designing and putting bit by bit to what we hope it can a small comfortable corner of this world where we can be at. I look forward to decorating every corner of it and slowly putting up stuff that reminds me of things I can be thankful about. though its probably also daunting to be "burdened" with household chores every weekend, guess that is not not a cause of worry as yet. *hee*

2011 also marks a short period of time I can be away from my work. A time to rest, rejuvenate, refresh and recharge ( it's amazing why all these words start with the letter "r"). I am looking forward to it so that I can be more clear of what is what I would want to do - carry on or to look into other areas of my interest. I hope to explore other areas of my interest instead of being contented to be immersed in a comfort zone.

what i truly hope to achieve is to make time to read up on christian books; to attend classes to improve my scraping skills. been neglecting it last year so thought its time to catch up and to do more. it's something I enjoy doing. Taking time to start exercising is also one priority as well. Not forgetting to carry on with my jap studies. One new thing is to learn to cook a few dishes. Haha, that one truly need some practice here.

last but not least, spending time with family, sisters and friends matters too. living 2011 wisely and fruitfully as God has blessed me with this year is truly what i hope to achieve.
