Back from London & Paris last night. Thank God for the journey mercies and His protection. Everything went on well though a few of us fell sick. And I got myself a dry cough from Paris during the return flight. Both places are beautiful and they are so rich in their heritage. Anyway, it was super cold at London. North Britain was snowing when we were there. And the temperature reach as low as 1 - 2 degrees even in the day, so you can imagine how cold it will be at night.
Due to daylight saving, London became very dark at 5pm. (It seems like it was 9pm.) Thank God I didn't experience much of a jet lag and got accustomed to the difference in time zone really fast. The picture below was taken around 4pm on the way to the hotel and its was already turning dark.

I took a shot of the view from my hotel lift window.
London's buildings were mainly in these colours in the day.

The first day, we went for the Open Bus Tour.
Weather was a little gloomy though.
You can see everyone is wrapped up cos it was freezing!

Can you see someone jogging in Hyde Park in the cold weather???

The very "un-glam" shot in poncho! It was raining but we were very stubborn about staying at the top deck to catch the London sights. My fingers went and toes were frozen during the cold ride.

That's Piccadilly where majority of the theaters can be found.

A picture of the open top bus we took. I love the buildings.

One of the many theatres there.
It's a pity that I could not catch any musical staged there.

London Eye

Big Ben

The Famous London Bridge - well-known since young.

The first school we visited is Bonner Primary.
It was a very nice and small school.

The headmaster is giving the morning assembly talk to the kids.

I love the colorful and virbant classrooms.
Makes me want to be a child again.

The teachers were very open to us stepping in to observe their lessons.

Went to the London School of Economics. It's situated in the city of London.

Did a school tour of the grounds. The reading/study room is very nice rite?

The school ground looks like some shopping district.

We visited The British Museum in the later part of the day. In London, all British museums are free. I am very impressed by the museums in London and Paris. Cos they have such a huge array of exhibits and artifacts that I feel I am "under-nourished" in my general knowledge.

There were too many stuff at the museum and I love the Egypt ones especially. I didn't took the pictures on how they mummified the dead people. It's reallie eerie.

I like this greek piece. But I dunno why they are headless.

On the third day, we visited Cardinal Wiseman School.
It's a Roman Catholic Secondary School.
However, we were unable to do lesson observations as
they are preparing for school inspection the following day.

We headed for Wembly Stadium and of course,
you can guess who were the ones going wild.

Absolutely no idea who on earth is this
but i guess all soccer fans will recognise him.
But he must be famous enuff to have a statue at Wembly.

That's a long post... will post on Cambridge and Paris in my next entry.
